Let me summarize City Hunter in a few sentences, as I am feeling
snarky right now.
Hero/heroine alone.
Cue flashback.
Cue crying.
Cue talking to yourself.
Cue driving.
And nothing gets solved between the two. *eyeroll*
**(You may stop reading here if you have no care for my long ramblings)**
The storyline has potential, man, why do you have to drag it so much
with the girl and the not-so-love story?
I don't know why, but I am not a fan of the heroine, Park Min Young,
the longer this goes on. The crying is so damn tiring. She cries on
every damn episode that it's losing the effect and meaning already.
Maybe it's the writer who I have a problem with. Le sigh.
I am on episode 18 right now, and this dragging loveline is hindering
the revenge line.
I want to see some progress, some more action.
Without the interfering side story of "Oh, I love you but I have to
let you go, and you have to ignore me, but then I cannot bear this
feeling when you ignore me for real, but this is for your own safety,
oh WTF"
=_=
I am watching this drama because my friends have been saying how good
it is, but I am just not that excited or inclined to click on the next
episode as quick as I can. Well, I thought the first episode or two
was pretty good, had expectations for it. But then it just got caught
in these spiralling clichés that are just too predictable. Waste of
precious faces.
On another note, I am loving What's Up! starring BigBang's Daesung and
about 10 other talented actors/singers. Now that is one good drama
that keeps me clicking on the next episode until I lose track of time.
Even though one of the female characters is a bit frustratingly
child-like, in my opinion, she makes up for it with the great singing
and that cute face. The only conventional character is the one female
villain, who is doing everything that makes the viewer hates her.
Rightfully so, may I add. Therefore, I hate her, but I don't really
hate her. Hmm. But other lead characters (this one's got a few) are
very much loveable. x) Kept me laughing and curious about what will
happen.
Too bad the main broadcast stations passed on this one. They missed
out on a great drama.
On yet one other note, I am wondering if I should even watch Lie To
Me. <.< I can predict the whole drama in my head already. And oh,
there will be many meaningless tears shed by the characters, I bet.
Hmm. Wish I can watch Protect The Boss instead. And can I just mention
how I miss my short yet satisfying J-dramas? The people around me just
don't get it as much as I do.
I am now missing the days when I was using TM's Streamyx broadband.
The limitless download speed and bandwidth... SIGH.
**clicking on play with a deep breath. Need. to. finish. watching.
City. Hunter.**
