Once, there was a girl.
No need for names, now. Let's just keep everyone fairly anonymous.
She wasn't particularly talkative. In fact, she's quite shy. But she had quite a number of friends. Everyone in the same year knew her.
They knew her because she was one of the cleverest girls in the school. And in this place, brains bring fame. She didn't brag. Far from it. When the teachers announce her name as the highest scorer in the class, again, and again, and again, she just received the praise with a smile. She was humble and kind to her friends. She was a normal kid. With cleverer brains. She was well-liked. Life was good.
But all too soon, in her final year, she had to move away from the school. She had to go and live on a foreign land with her family. The news spread. Then, the goodbyes started.
She wasn't sad, she wasn't ecstatic either. She was just indifferent.
In the midst of the goodbyes and parting presents, one sentence stood out from the rest.
"Buy me something from London!"
She was going to Nottingham, stranger.
disclaimer: this story has nothing to do with the dead or the living dead, but everything to do about the living. and this story is mine. mine and only mine.
